This blog is dedicated to my group's IB CAS project for 2013-2015. We will be volunteering two to three hours a month at Roice Hurst Humane Society and documenting our learning experiences on this page through photos, videos, and written reflections. Summer 2014 we will host a rummage sale of collected donations. The proceeds will be given to Roice Hurst Humane Society.

December Reflection
This month, because of the holiday season, we were not able to go volunteer at Roice Hurst Humane Society. However, I did talk to my family and friends about donating products for the sale. I know it's early, but my family has agreed to donate anything that we don't need anymore, which is a lot of sell-able items. I also have a fairly new doghouse that we can sell, donated from a family friend. I think it's good to start collecting items early. One ethical implication would be the resistance from some people regarding our cause. There are people out there that believe that humans come first in this world, and therefore our project should benefit the homeless or teen shelter. This may cause us to loose some contributions or potential buyers at the sale, but we believe our cause to be a positive impact for our community.
